Sweet dreams!!

It’s 7:15am, and Abu needs to start getting ready for school by 7:30. He also likes to watch a little TV before that. And, if some day, he doesn’t wake up before 7:30, he gets a little grumpy because he didn’t get to watch TV.
So I go to his room and try to wake him.
“Abu, wake up, or you’ll miss TV.”
Abu stirs. Opens his eyes. Looks at me.
Frowns.
Then says, “I didn’t finish my dream!”
Short pause.
“I want to finish it.”
And goes back to sleep.
So here I am, thinking that I’ll let him sleep for as long as he wants.
The school bus comes every day. But, a dream that cannot wait, cannot wait…
Man, i know that feeling so well. Middle of a really good dream, you suddenly realize it’s a dream… you are not fully awake yet, but you are aware of the fact that it’s a dream, and you try desperately to reboot your dream from where you had left it… Sigh, it never happens. Reality and realization has this nasty habit of spoiling good things. 🙁
I do hope that Abu completes his dream… more sweet dreams to him… 🙂
