When it comes to driving traffic to a website, seemingly minor things
\nmake a big difference. I have a fairly popular (i.e. high traffic)
\nwebsite at http:\/\/www.cs.wisc.edu\/~navin\/india\/songs<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Since movie
\nreviews are related to the content of that site, I decided that it
\nwould be acceptable to post a link to
\nhttp:\/\/withoutgivingthemovieaway.com<\/a> on that page. Initially, I
\nsimply put in a link that said<\/p>\n

This was not bad. About 3 to 5 percent of the visitors to the songs
\nsite clicked through to this link. That gave a reasonable amount of
\ntraffic.<\/p>\n

Then, I had an idea. I changed to link to something that looks like
\nthis:<\/p>\n

Check out Meeta’s Hindi Movie Reviews<\/a> (Risk<\/a>, Guru<\/a>, Bhagam Bhag<\/a>, Dhoom-2<\/a>…)<\/cite><\/p>\n

Seems like a minor change. But as soon as I made this change, traffic
\ninstantly doubled; or maybe tripled. The click-throughs to the main
\nsite stayed approximately the same as before. But now, in addition,
\neach individual movie page listed above was also drawing traffic.
\nInterestingly, this traffic appeared to be related to
