unzipped
Posted by meeta on February 11, 2008
sort-of breaking my promise not to write anything here that can embarrass the kids when they are older *ahem*…
so, abu’s zip was open this afternoon.
me – abu, your zip is open…
abu – hehehe…chain khuli ki main khuli
* * *
p.s. 1 – zips are also called chains (in India), “khuli” means open in hindi
p.s. 2 – “chen kuli ki main kuli” was a chant in a very popular hindi movie from the 80’s, Satte pe Satta
p.s. 3 – i am pretty sure abu was not referring to the chant mentioned above, but was referring to this song from Masti
Kids can be amazingly funny and witty. I had a similarly funny incident with my 8 year old while watching Lord of the Rings. Its in my blog… one of the first entries. Check it out when you have the time. http://sunitkhot.blogspot.com/2007/08/eye-of-sauron.html
Cheers! Keep writing. You do a fantastic job.

Abu’s remark reminded me of what my four year old daughter came up with last month when I asked her what she would do after her nursery tests are over:
me- tests kab khatam honge?
she-15 March ko
me- phir kya karogi?
she-phir mauja hi mauja
