This is a photograph of Badri Baldawa’s family. Note that when the real family photograph was taken, Seema was not married, and Arsh and Ruhi were not born. So Nilesh, Arsh, and Ruhi have been transplanted from other photos into this photo through the miracle of photoshopping.

We’ve had this box of Legos for a few years now, and the most fun the kids get out of this is the box itself. First Arsh, and now Ruhi, take immense pleasure in emptying out all the lego pieces from the box and then sitting inside the box. They can amuse themselves like this for quite a while.

It’s Raksha Bandhan today, and typically newspapers try to get a feel-good factor going by putting a nice picture of a sister tying a Rakhee to her brother on the front page. It appears that the newspapers these days are getting lazy and are not really using their own photographers / models for this. Instead they are going to http://images.google.com and downloading pictures from there.

That is what was done by Gavakari, the leading local newspaper of Nashik (my hometown). By a further twist of fate, it turns out that if you search for rakhee in google images, the first usable photo is of me! Hence, this morning, my photo appears on the front page of this newspaper and my friends/relatives are calling me with the news.

Weekend trip to Nilshi

We went to Nilshi, near Lonavala this weekend for a Baldawa family get-together. It was a beautiful place next to a lake in the middle of the forest. I managed to get some really nice photographs that I plan on putting up here in the next few days. For now, here is a photograph of a waterfall nearby. For best effect, see the larger image by clicking on the photo above. If you look closely, you will see a bunch of people at the foot of the waterfall. That is the Baldawa family.

We went to Mahabaleshwar for a weekend getaway a couple of weeks back. It was raining all the time, but that did not prevent us from having fun. We all dressed up in raincoats and went out to the garden to have fun. Ruhi is now big enough to climb up on the slide all by herself, slide down, and enjoy the experience.
